Headlining the night Dwight Slade, winner of last year’s Boston Comedy Festival, with gifted writer and performer Marc Yaffee as your host. Special guest comedian for the night is the geeky and energetic Tim Babb.

Headliner – Dwight Slade
Tahoe Comedy North welcomes Dwight Slade in a special appearance in the Crown Room at the Crystal Bay Casino. In his first Tahoe Comedy North appearance this part man, part Ageless boy, comedian and humorist Dwight Slade has the privilege of being a comedy legend in American stand-up. Last year’s winner of the Boston Comedy Festival, Slade combines an intelligent, raging voice of justice with a sense of unpredictability that makes every show unique and tailor made for his audience.

Slade has made appearances on Comedy Central, HBO, TBS and E! Entertainment’s, “50 Cutest Child Stars.” He was featured on NBC’s Tonight Show and made 3 appearances at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Internationally he has appeared at Festivals in Glasgow, Scotland; Milan, Italy; and the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He spent 2 weeks in Afghanistan entertaining US and coalition troops.

A single father with two kids, Dwight Slade is the comedian who has seen it all and relates perfectly to audiences all over the world.

Host – Marc Yaffee
Marc is a gifted writer and performer, delivering original comedy, inspired by his multi-cultural upbringing and Native roots. Marc careens across the comedy landscape leaving a trail of laughs that has made him a hit with club, casino and corporate audiences alike. Marc combines hip, edgy observations with a rapid, one-liner delivery style.

While doing sports, Marc started writing for the school newspaper, developing his love of writing that still shows in his standup today. Marc continued writing at the University of San Diego where he served as sports editor while commuting regularly to the bars of Tijuana, Mexico.

Guest Comedian – Tim Babb
Tim Babb is half white, half black…and all nerd. Tim puts on a TV clean show that goes from Disneyland to his bi-racial background and remains inclusive to all the whole time. Before moving to Los Angeles, Tim Babb began his career as an air personality on Mix 106.5FM in San Jose, California. Doing stand-up for so many years in the shadow of San Francisco resulted in an act that takes the edge of the big city and combines it with the geek factor of the Silicon Valley…with a splash of energy that’s all Babb. Seen on NBC’s Last Comic Standing this is Tim’s first appearance with Tahoe Comedy North.
